Our Wedding is at Villa La Selva Wine Resort in Montebenichi, Italy. This is a small town with some villas and restaurants spread along windy roads in wine country. The distance is 1 hour 20 minutes south of Florence and 2 hours 30 minutes north of Rome (if traveling by car).
Rental Car
Going to Italy? Doesn’t public transportation rock in Europe? Well, maybe not so much in wine country!! The nearest bus/train station is: Montevarchi (24 km, 30 minute car ride or 1 hour 45 minute bus with 3 transfers) traveling from Florence, and Siena (33 km, 30 minute car ride, or 1 hour 10 minutes with 2 bus transfers) traveling from Rome.
Train-Bus-Taxi
Least accommodating but doable! With a few transfers, you can reach Montebenechi in 1-2 hours. Prepare to speak some Italian!
Personal Car Service
This is the most expensive option but also the most convenient. Uber Black operates in Italy, check out service areas on your phone from home to make sure it is available. Personal car services can be found here
Wedding Day Shuttle Service
A shuttle will be provided on the day of the wedding, Saturday, May 25th for our guests who are staying at Il Verreno. Please note that this is the only day a shuttle service will be provided. The shuttle times are as follows:
Depart Il Verreno at 4.25pm to take guests to Villa La Selva. The ceremony is at 5:00pm. We kindly request your timeliness for a 4:25 departure as there will be only one departure from Il Verreno to Villa La Selva
Evening transportation from Villa La Selva back to Il Verreno: the shuttle will be available from 11:00 pm to 1:00 am
